Flight phobia is one of the phobias that is becoming more common with the increasing use of airplanes. Individuals with this phobia may be anxious not only about flying but also about the idea of flying. This phobia is a learned phobia and the cause may vary from person to person. This phobia, which usually starts in childhood, can also occur in adulthood due to various factors.

Even people who have never had this anxiety can be triggered by situations such as turbulence, tinnitus and depressurization during flight. Even negative statements about the flight that the person hears from the environment can cause anxiety. Another reason is a genetic predisposition.

In airplane phobia, symptoms such as sweating, dry mouth, onset of anxiety on or before the day of the flight, claustrophobia, avoidance of airplanes, rapid heartbeat, panic attack triggering, blurred vision are possible. This psychological disorder, which is more common in women, can be resolved with the appropriate therapy method.
